We had a wonderful wedding at Cayucos Creek Barn. The barn itself and the scenery around it is beautiful and the venue has so many possibilities, that we were changing our game plan on the day of. It's a great value when you add the numbers up and especially when you consider the freedom to choose your other vendors (e.g. food, wine, linens, etc). Other places force you to use specific vendors, which ends up costing you more. Dave was very friendly and helpful and even took us up on the offer to join in the celebration.

Great venue. My wife and I had our wedding at the Cayucos Creek Barn. The owners (Dave and Laura) were helpful throughout. We were able to make the day exactly what we wanted without much worry about time schedule, etc. Dave was also able to reccomend a number of very good vendors (eg. Boni's Tacos) to help us out. The acoustics were good as well. We had a great time at our wedding, and reccomend this venue to those who are looking to host a relaxed and personalized event with a warm atmosphere.

I have nothing but good comments about the barn. Married here in July, and absolutely was wonderful. The owner is really accommodating and guided us through nine months of planning, and was extremely patient with all my naive phone calls prior to my wedding. Had amazing referrals for catering and a professional band that kept us dancing the whole night. The barn was well manicured with clean bathrooms, clean grounds, assisted parking, bonfire, heat lamps, outdoor and indoor lightening. Everything about this day went perfect and the venue made it all. Beautiful location, close to the beach, small town friendly service from the owner. My inlaws were so impressed, that they immediately booked their 40th anniversary party here! Thank you Dave for all your kindness and assistance and making our wedding day special! .. and thank you Cayucos! What a great little town.

The barn is a charming, rustic, ramshackle place and is perfect for a shabby chic wedding if you don't mind the junk lying around the grounds and if you're good at dealing with difficult people. Unfortunately, the owner is an unprofessional business person. He promised some things before my daughter signed the contract for her wedding (May 2009). Then after my daughter signed the contract (the owner never did return his signed copy), he reneged on a few details; changed the price and the number of hours the barn had been rented for; was generally unavailable when she needed to contact him; and tried to charge her for "decor items" (hay bales) left behind by the previous bride (who also told us that she didn't get her cleaning deposit back...which made us laugh since the owner's cleanup "standards" appear to be very lax)!Because the barn rental price has increased a lot since they first started in business, you really should consider the additional time, energy and money you'll have to expend arranging and renting supplies... because you WON"T BE GETTING much service: there's no on-site catering; no set-up or clean-up crew; no oven, fridge, china, flatware, glasses, etc.; no drawing of the barn with exact measurements (the barn has several level changes, doors, etc. that you have to work your seating around, so you'll need to go measure ); no decent chairs (just metal folding chairs) and so on.

We had a beautiful wedding at this wonderfully rustic barn on April 25,2009.I wish I had known about this website sooner, I would have left this positive feedback then. My husband and I could not have been happier with every aspect of our wedding & reception at Cayucos Creek Barn. From the day I found the place on-line and contacted Dave about the venue and it's availability I knew that this was the place for us. Perfect in every way. Dave was so very accomodating, even to the point of having us over to the barn to audition the band! He and his lovely wife were so very helpful from beginning to end. They are both warm and wonderful people who will remain our friends.I was quite shocked to read the review from the wedding immediately following ours at the barn. The wedding was in July (rated the barn a "2") with the negative review written this month on the 17th.This woman infers that I spoke to her (never did) about the barn. She goes on to lie about deposits and hay bales. I had no problem with my security deposit and for anyone wanting to know, she was too cheap to pay a dime for the brand new hay bales she used or the white tarps left for her ceremony that she was allegedly going to "split with me". We don't care. Went to a beautiful wedding there tonite and sat on the very same bales in great shape, and had a wonderful time.For anyone wanting a unique beautiful and easy-going venue, this is the place for you. This was the perfect place to have our casual reception after a wedding on the beach. Only a mile from the beach, we were able to ride our beach cruisers to the barn. The space is large with room for everyone to spread out. There was even a horseshoe pit available! The accoustics were excellent for our bands. The lighting was perfect. And, the owner of the barn was available to keep the fire going in the pit outside and light up space heaters as needed. The bathrooms were very clean and convenient. Great photo opportunities all around - including some antique gas tanks!
