He even had my 87 year old grandma on the dance floor rocking out to LMFAO!!!! Joe was a true professional. He had everything covered--the pre-ceremony music, the mic set-ups, all the announcements and a perfect dancing music mix for all of our family and friends. He was very through and asked all the right questions so he could be fully prepared for our big day. He worked closely with my wedding coordinator and made sure I didn't have to worry about a thing on my day. I'd definitely recommend him!!

We are so happy that Joe was available for the day of our wedding. We had made a last minute decision to have a professional over a money-saving speaker system-iPod family/friend running the show. Maybe it would've worked... but going with Joe saved us a bunch of headaches. He was very flexible with our ever changing timeline... he added ceremony services at the last second and did an amazing job during the reception. All our guests were out of their seats and dancing. He kept us on track with time throughout the evening. I cannot say enough good things. If you're looking for a DJ don't hesitate and shop around, secure Joe for your special day before someone else does.

Joe did an amazing job playing music for our wedding. He was recommended to us by family friends who also thought very highly of him. I was very impressed with the how attentive he was to the overall flow of the wedding. My husband actually thought he was the assistant wedding coordinator because was so organized and aware of all the timing of each event. Joe had a great mix of music for all ages and knows how to keep the party going. Overall, I was very pleased and would definitely recommend him to friends and family who want to have a great wedding/party.

Joe did all the music for our pre-ceremony get together, ceremony and reception. From the start, Joe was our first choice based on recommendations and personal experience attending weddings he worked in the past. Simply put he did great. We enjoyed working with him from start to finish. He is a total pro and was a joy to work with from beginning to end. The pre-ceremony went off great. He was spot on with the outdoor ceremony. Where he really came through, however, was the dinner and dancing. We had a big wedding with a wide range of ages and musical tastes. Joe took our suggestions, weaved in his own ideas and had everyone on the dance floor from the first song until we had to shut down because of the venue's requirements. Best testament to Joe's ability to keep the party going strong all night: (a) tons of people on the dance floor at the end and (b) people were genuinely surprised it was over even though we started the whole event six hours earlier. Joe has a great reputation as these reviews attest. It is well deserved. Five stars plus across the board.

We couldn't have been happier with Joe as the DJ for our daughters wedding! He was professional and took the time to consult with us before, during and after the event. His direction helped our reception flow smoothly and kept the party going strong from beginning to end - everyone had a fantastic time! Joe guided us on the sound system for the outdoor ceremony and seamlessly transitioned to the reception. I would recommend Joe 100%.

As the mother of the groom for our son's wedding, I am delighted to have had Joe Labarbera perform the DJ for our son's wedding in Santa Barbara. As an outdoor venue the sound and setup was amazing and Joe was there to make sure everything ran smoothly and worked well with my son to get the playlist and timing down to a science! He was involved during the reception without making it all about hiim as a DJ which has been my experience at other weddings. I loved his choice of "save the last dance for me" as the final song for the evening by Michael Buble which was a great choice! We would highly recommend him to anyone with confidence.

wish that i had made the time to meet in person before the wedding but Joe did an awesome job, we got a couple comments that it was some of "the best wedding dancing ever" and that doesn't happen without a great DJ!

Joe LaBarbera was a complete class act! He visited our site before the ceremony and made excellent suggestions for our reception set up. He paid close attention to the type of music my daughter and her fiance` wanted and created an incredible atmosphere for our ceremony and reception. I have attended many weddings lately and have discovered that Joe is one of those rare DJ's who keeps his comments to a minimum and says only appropriate things, (not trying to make the evening about himself like many DJ's). His warmth and kindness were apparent throughout the evening. Our guests are still raving about the selection of music and about his professionalism! Joe, thank you for creating the kind of magical evening we were hoping for! We will never forget it!

Joe is a great guy and an awesome DJ! I am a wedding photographer on the central coast, and i have seen Joe at half a dozen weddings. Every time, Joe has been one of the most professional DJ's I've meet (at over 150 weddings) So when i finally met the girl of my dreams, and talked her into marrying me, i knew Joe was the guy we wanted to help our day run smoothly... One thing that i knew i liked about Joe, was that he was easy to work with, he didn't get overly involved in our wedding, but was always there when we need him and always willing to adapt to any changing situation. Also, I was a huge help when he met with us before the wedding to plan out how our day would go and helped us find the best layout for our reception. When it came down to the day, he was awesome and helped us stay on track so our guests would have a fun time. thanks again Joe and look forward to seeing you at more weddings in the future.

We just had Joe DJ our wedding in Paso Robles on Aug 13th. We could not have asked for a better DJ to work with! From the day I called him and booked our date to the last song- he was excellent and provided exactly what we needed. My husband and I decided to have a string trio play for our ceremony and transition into Joe for cocktail hour followed by dancing for the reception. He played such an amazing playlist with the exact jazz vibe we wanted during the cocktail hour and the transition from the string trio to his set was seamless. I also had a last minute change on my father/daughter dance song and Joe didn't miss a beat on changing it right away. We literally had people dancing a conga line towards the end of the reception, parents, kids, our friends- EVERYONE was dancing until the very end. He played an excellent song list and nothing was your typical wedding "cheesy" DJ song- he was the perfect DJ for the perfect evening. I highly recommend him and would book him again.

I feel so blessed for the wedding day that we had and Joe was a part of that reason. Everything went flawlessly and if something did go wrong, I didn't know about it because it stayed behind the scenes. He was extremely professional the whole time, had a smile on his face, and you could just tell that he was genuinely trying to make that day special for us. He worked well with our other vendors and handled all possible situations. I can't tell you how great it was to go from stressing out the couple days before to not having to worry about a thing on the wedding day. We literally were able to let go of all decisions and just enjoy our guests at the reception. The music selection was great as we were able to give him suggestions of our taste in music, but then he collaberated with his own ideas so the dance mix was perfect. We had people dancing until the very end of the night. We can't wait to tell family and friends about Joe for future occasions!

Joe LaBarbera went above and beyond to make our wedding day incredible!Joe was helpful and involved beginning months before our big day... Everything from song suggestions to layout at the venue to the flow of the event - Joe had it all covered. The day of, Joe was one of the first people out at the venue and very well prepared. We ended up using three separate speaker setups - ceremony, cocktail hour and reception - and the music was flawless throughout. During the reception, Joe mixed our music list with his own suggestions and the dance floor was literally packed all night! People were booing when it was time to shut down!We can't thank Joe enough for such an amazing day...

Joe LaBarbera did a wonderful job at our wedding at a winery in Paso Robles this past July. Joe was very professional and easy to work with during our preparation of the timeline and music for the wedding including music for the ceremony, after the ceremony, during dinner and, finally, the dance music. Joe saved us the expense of hiring a professional wedding coordinator to help keep the wedding and reception on a tight timeline by working with the photographer and caterer to keep the evening running smoothly. Joe made announcements and helped prepare people who were speaking with gentle instruction as to equipment, all the while staying in the background with a professional presence. The dance music was awesome and everyone got up and danced with the evening ending on a high note. All and all, we would highly recommend Joe to anyone who wants a special, memorable celebration!

Joe LaBarbera provide excellent service for my daughter's wedding. Joe was at the venue about 3 hours earlier setting up and making sure everything was perfect. Everything was perfect! We used Joe at our wedding at a Paso Winery. As it was a small event Joe provided some of his insight into the flow of the ceremony. He was very helpful with the music selection and explained things very clearly.I would recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ.

Joe was THE BEST! He is such a friendly, laidback, attentive guy and he really made our party amazing. He was super helpful in making suggestions about how to design our reception so that people would get on the dance floor and it worked! He was 100% flexible and amazing when helping to mic our ceremony and string trio and did a perfect job.The wedding was outdoors and it was windy/chilly and it looked like people might start heading home after dinner until Joe got the father/daughter and mother/son dances going then went straight into music that got everyone dancing. Then people didn't stop until the party was over! He played songs I requested during the cocktail hour and reception and mixed in other songs that fit our "feel" perfectly. There (sometimes) may be a reputation about DJs that they can be a little cheezy but Joe could not have been ANY farther from that. He's a professional who took care of me from day one. Love him and so glad we chose him!
